The Crafting Experience:
I'll be honest: I struggled to come up with a craft idea for this book. The only inspiration I had was to either create black wings or to iron on black wing patches to the back of a shirt. Lacking the confidence to tackle making my own wings, I opted for a simpler project this week.
I enlisted my mother's help to pin the patches onto the back of a tank top while I wore it. Once that was done, I got out my iron and ironing board, adjusted the settings according to my iron's specifications, and prepared the shirt as the iron heated up. Being a mid-sized woman, I needed to ensure the tank top was stretched properly for the patches to lay flat when worn. To achieve this, I placed a king-sized pillow from my bed into the tank top, slid the ironing board platform between the pillow and the back of the shirt, and used a few small plush toys to achieve the right amount of stretch.
With everything in place, I simply used the iron to adhere the patches, and just like that, I was finished! This quick craft took less than 30 minutes, and I was thrilled with the result: a cute dark angel tank top.
