The Crafting Experience:

       In "A Game of Love and Betrayal," both Evelyn and Ryker share a passion for chess. Inspired by various Facebook influencers who have transformed popular board games with dazzling designs, I decided to create my own bedazzled chess set.

        The project itself is quite straightforward: simply glue the areas you want to embellish and then place the rhinestones accordingly. I chose to focus on bedazzling the border of the board and the chess pieces. To enhance the board's border, I began by adorning the outer edge with medium-sized black rhinestones from my kit, ensuring to leave the area where the board bends free for easy storage of the game. Next, I applied the smallest resin rhinestones available in the kit to embellish the white border surrounding the play area. For the chess pieces, I chose to embellish the white pieces with the tiniest resin rhinestones, while the black pieces will receive a touch of elegance with the smallest black rhinestones. To achieve a cohesive look, I found it effective to start by outlining the entire border before moving on to the next row. This method allowed me to position the rhinestones diagonally from those above, minimizing any gaps between them.

        While this project is relatively easy, it is also quite time-consuming. As you can see in the picture above, I have only completed the board's border and four chess pieces so far. I will document any challenges I encounter with the remaining pieces and share a photo of the finished product once the project is complete. In the meantime, I'm thrilled with the progress of my chess game project and can’t wait to see the final result. The completed components, thus far, are truly dazzling!
