The Kingdom of Waves is an intriguing read that kept me on my toes from beginning to end. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, another twist emerged, making me even more eager to keep reading.
The two main characters, Gin and Eban, each have compelling backstories that clearly illuminate their current predicaments and the choices they make. This first installment focuses on Gin’s growth and on the past trauma that prevents Eban from developing as quickly as Gin does during the limited time they are given. Still, Eban should not be counted out. I have no doubt we will see him heal and reach his full potential in the next installment.
Filled with adventure, fantasy, and a deeply conflicted heroine with three potential love interests, this series delivers plenty of drama and intrigue. By the end of the book, however, it becomes clear who the true love interest should be. The final twist of this first installment was mind-blowing, and I cannot wait to get my hands on the second book to see how this journey unfolds.
