This journey helps her confront and eventually release the anger she harbors towards the vampires for the devastation wrought upon her people.
As the story unfolds, Gwyn finds herself falling for the vampire prince, Dallas. Their interactions oscillate between charming and disheartening, as Gwyn grapples with her preconceived notions about Dallas and his family. There are tense moments where it seems they may never overcome the hurtful words exchanged between them.
